ASL DIRECT Secure bilingual intake

Accessibility

A clear path should work for more people

The portal is designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA, but it has not yet completed an independent accessibility audit.

Navigation and structure

Pages use landmarks, descriptive headings, visible keyboard focus, meaningful link text, and a consistent language switch.

Visual presentation

Text uses responsive sizing, strong contrast, touch-friendly targets, and layouts that reflow for smaller screens. Reduced-motion preferences disable decorative movement.

Language support

Core public information is available in English and Spanish, with paired links between equivalent pages rather than machine-translated fragments.

Known next steps

Before public voice intake opens, the pilot still needs screen-reader and keyboard acceptance testing, zoom and reflow review, bilingual pronunciation testing, and an assisted-intake process owned by the participating firm.

Accessibility feedback

A participating firm must publish an accessible feedback and accommodation channel before real client intake opens. Until then, this page records the platform’s current target and limitations.
